Child CareChildren’s Center Administrative Office Child care is available at the Children’s Center on the Manoa campus for a limited number of two- to five-year-old children of students, faculty, and staff. The facility offers full-time and a limited number of part-week care to approximately 90 children each semester. The Children’s Center follows the UH calendar and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The developmental approach to early childhood education offers each child individual attention in an atmosphere that is conducive to building a strong self-concept, interactive skills, and an experiential base. Group sizes and adult-child ratios are favorable, and teachers are degreed and experienced in early childhood education. The program includes a wide range of opportunities for parental involvement. Applications should be made well in advance of the semester needed. |
