Intramural Recreational Services
Physical Education/Athletics Complex 200
Students are provided with a variety of recreational activities and services. These are published annually and range from competitive intramural sports leagues and tournaments, informal recreation, non-credit classes and activities, and equipment rental programs.
The competitive program is comprised of structured intramural leagues and tournaments with specific schedules and prearranged facilities, equipment, and officials.
Athletic facilities are scheduled for the informal recreational program. Individuals preferring a self-directed program may utilize these facilities as their time and interests permit.
An equipment check-out service is available for short term usage. Sports equipment ranges from basketballs to volleyball kits to racquets. Use of the equipment and facilities is free to students with a valid UH Manoa identification card.
Non-credit classes and activities and an outdoor equipment rental service are available through the Leisure Program at Hemenway Hall. Classes range from arts and crafts, dance and personal performance, martial arts, sports, fitness and wellness, and outdoor recreation. The Leisure Program operates an equipment rental program, which provides camping equipment, snorkeling equipment, kayaks, surfboards, and more.
Campus Center Complex
Campus Center Ticket Information and ID Office
The Campus Center Complex (CCC), the university’s student union, includes Hemenway Hall and the Campus Center buildings and serves as the “community center” of UH Manoa. It provides facilities for programs, services, and opportunities offered by the Campus Center Board (CCB) and other student organizations, resulting in a comprehensive plan for the community life of the campus.
The complex includes an information desk/ticket window, computer labs, dining rooms, ID card services, catering services, lounges, game room, banking facilities, barber shop, photocopying service, leisure center, movie theater, graphics services, and meeting rooms of various sizes, including a ballroom.
Many student organizations are housed in the two buildings, providing
opportunities for practical experience in leadership development and social
responsibility through student-run programs, activities, and services.
In addition to these volunteers, more than 100 part-time student assistants
within CCC are employed in diverse and challenging jobs vital to the operation
of the complex. These jobs offer valuable work experience to UH Manoa
students in a supportive atmosphere, encouraging and rewarding personal
responsibility and growth while supporting the educational and developmental
mission of UH Manoa.
